Molly Gunn, the freewheeling daughter of a deceased rock legend, is forced to get a job when her manager steals her money. As nanny to Ray – the precocious, oft-ignored daughter of a music executive – she learns what it means to be an adult while teaching Ray how to be a child.

A four-member teen girl group named the Cheetah Girls go to a Manhattan High School for the Performing Arts and try to become the first freshmen to win the talent show in the school’s history. During the talent show auditions, they meet a big-time producer named Jackal Johnson, who tries to make the group into superstars, but the girls run into many problems.

When a young man agrees to housesit for his boss, he thinks it’ll be the perfect opportunity to get close to the woman he desperately has a crush on – his boss’s daughter. But he doesn’t plan on the long line of other houseguests that try to keep him from his mission. And he also has to deal with the daughter’s older brother, who’s on the run from local drug dealers.

A quirky teen with a penchant for war reenactments, Kelly Ernswiler obsesses over military tactics with his buddy Bart. The school bully is one of Kelly’s regular headaches, and he also has to deal with a frustrating situation at home, where his father is a recovering drug addict. Kelly’s life gets even more complicated when he falls for Tabby, Bart’s pretty and soon-to-be-wed older sister.

Marci Feld, a pampered Jewish-American Princess, doesn’t know about rap or the business world. But everything changes after rapper Dr. S releases a controversial CD for the hard-core hip-hop record label owned by Marci’s father. After a national protest breaks out to boycott the new CD and the record label, her father is hospitalized by a heart attack. Marci decides to step in to save his reputation and the family business by taming the raunchy rapper’s wild bad boy image.

Leléu is a con man, going from town to town selling all sort of things and performing as master of ceremonies for some cheesy numbers, such as the woman who gets transformed into a gorilla. He gets involved with Linaura, a sexy and beautiful woman who happens to be the wife of the most frightening hitman of the place. The hitman finds out his wife’s affair and goes after Leléu, who has to leave in a hurry. In another town, he meets and falls instantly in love with Lisbela, who is engaged to Douglas, a hillbilly who tries hard to pass for a cosmopolitan Rio de Janeiro dweller.

Jerry Falk, an aspiring writer in New York, falls in love at first sight with a free-spirited young woman named Amanda. He has heard the phrase that life is like “anything else,” but soon he finds that life with the unpredictable Amanda isn’t like anything else at all.

A raucous story of the interweaving lives and loves of small-town delinquents, shady cops, pretty good girls and very bad boys. With Irish guts and grit, lives collide, preconceptions shatter and romance is tested to the extreme. An ill-timed and poorly executed couple’s break-up sets off a chain of events affecting everyone in town.
